"The touch"

Clay is transformed through pressure exerted by the hand. The form slowly changing with each repeated movement. Emerging from the palm of the hand, a naked figure appears.

The sensitivity of an artists' hands can intuitively organize these gestures. Clay, the sculptor's true partner, answers by its softness, its weight, its plasticity - and with subtlety, the hands respond: one works, the other supports. "I become ambidextrous in an instant. The touch takes control, and the  hands are then no longer the slaves of the eyes. And without conscious effort, I am  transported into a state of 'savoir-faire'.

It is truly an internal walk, this process of creation, a blind descent to the center of the Earth on wings of breath and heartbeats.
